San Gabriel is pleased to announce its new business retention initiative, “Growth for Shared Prosperity.” It is designed to create new jobs and increase revenues for local companies by offering a one-stop solution for all business needs.
The Community Development Department is now conducting an online survey of local businesses to better understand how they are realigning their products and labor force to respond to both economic challenges and new opportunities. The survey also provides business owners and operators with the opportunity to identify their immediate needs. The City will then connect interested companies to select providers offering a full range of services for business stabilization and growth at no cost.
The survey is on the City of San Gabriel’s website in English, Chinese, Spanish, and Vietnamese through January 31, 2013. The survey takes just a few minutes to complete and is available at www.sangabrielcity.com/BusinessSurvey. All businesses, regardless of type and size, located in the City of San Gabriel are encouraged to participate. Survey respondents will receive a summary of results.
Earlier this year, San Gabriel was one of 10 cities in California selected to receive a grant from the California Association for Local Economic Development to undertaken business retention through the technical support provided by Rob Gilmore and his firm Solution Mountain, Inc.
